Moving around the dunes at Point Beach State Forest, in an area of milkweed.

I saw these 8 monarchs within about 45 minutes in an area of the dunes along Lake Michigan in Point Beach State Forest starting about 10 in the morning. They were within a narrow area of the dunes about 200 yards long. A good share of that area has milkweed in it which is only coming up at this time. They were all happily flitting about solo...not in any kind of grouping.
