Late freezes must have kept the monarchs away. This year it�s perhaps a month later that I�m seeing my first larva, compared to last year. And very few eggs have been laid. I e only found 3 to date. And only one larva from those 3.
So I plucked this one and brought it inside for protection, as there were various insects on the milkweed plants scavenging for something to eat.
