Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/04/2020

Number: 8

Found 8 1st & 2nd instar Monarch caterpillars. They seem to be here a little earlier than normal. When I saw the first female Monarch last week she was really beat up like she’d flown all the way to Indianapolis from Florida. Her wings were ragged and she was missing part of one her rear wings. She was laying eggs like crazy.

Found another caterpillar 6/5/2020. I’ve taken all 9 of them inside to rear them.
