Joyful, hummingbird activity in the forest today. The weather was perfect sunshine, no humidity, 58 degrees this morning and mid 7O's in the afternoon. Hummingbird games,displays, courting. There were several instances when they almost flew into me as I planted "hummingbird bait" in flower pots :)

This picture was taken this evening, around 9 pm. It's one of my little girls. She's perched on a tiny twig, from a larger branch I positioned against a shepherds hook. She's perched, near the ground, (about 24 inches above the ground). From this low,location she can face the house and monitor two nectar feeders.
