Hi my name is Joana! I live in South Florida and Ive been raising monarch caterpillars of my own since April 2020. It all started with 1 giant dog cage that I converted into a butterfly cage with 2 tropical

Milkweed plants with 2 healthy looking larvae. Since May 5th till this day Ive released 35 monarchs OE free. Unfortunately I had to euthanize 3 monarchs due to buying milkweed from a nursery Im not familiar with and their pesticides I believe caused this. Never went back there again. However, Im about to release 2 Soldier monarchs this Monday June 22, 2020 and I have about 25 tropical milkweed and 10 giant milkweed as host plants now. All consistently being checked weekly for OE, Aphids, Assasain bugs. Etc

I have a really great nursery in south florida if anyone is inclined to ask please feel free to reach out I know the Gardner and they do a great job keeping pesticide-free milkweed.

Butterflies give me a newfound hope.

May God bless these butterflies on their journey north.

Sincerely,

Joana G.
