A female Anna's hummingbird, I believe. There are 5 Anna's in immediate vicinity. 2 mated pairs and one bachelor. One pair in a birch tree, one in a coastal redwood. The single male lives in another birch.
For last 2 weeks, male and female Anna's Hummingbirds have been seen twice daily at tricolor Lantana bush in my front garden. For past 3 days, they have added the agapanthus to the menu as the stalks have finally popped.
