Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/20/2020

Number: 2

I've had eggs laid 3x prior since June 5th but this is first day seeing adults.
Hot & humid 34c real feel 36c. Clear, full sun, light SE wind at 13kmh.
Both females & laying eggs.
3:30 pm faded & slightly torn She arrived from the east, flitted south over Wisteria in full bloom, checked a few Common MW (buds not bloomed yet) & continued south then west to back of house. Laid an egg then continued west to neighbour's back yard out of view.
5:30 observed monarch, not fresh but not faded either or very slightly, flitting about east side of house to Common MW at back of house & laid an egg. Continued west out of view.
With good camera compared the two...different markings.
