Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 06/26/2020

Number: 5

We have lots of milkweed, but very few Monarch caterpillars. Lots of Gypsy moth caterpillars on the milkweed which are eating everything in our forest, fields, and garden. We are not seeing monarch butterflies. Several banded hairstreaks and an Aphrodite Fritillary were nectaring on the milkweed flowers.
