This butterfly was only the 3rd one we have seen this year so far! It fed for a very short time on a milkweed flower, flitted around for a short time, and flew away!
By this time LAST year, we had found and brought in 24 caterpillars, 3 more still in egg stage, and had 4 chrysalises!
What is wrong this year???
