This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report of 04/17/2020.

This is a photo of a faded & tattery-winged female monarch as she is laying eggs in the late afternoon. As I watched her, I saw how selective she was to find fresh, young milkweed on which to lay her eggs. Having just seen a newborn female monarch in the pasture below, with fresh velvety wings, this intrepid, long-journeyed monarch was impressive to see!
