S I X Monarchs seen today between 3 pm & 5:30. 2 of the 6 was a mated pair(3:45pm) He carried her to 4 different trees before zipping around into a grouping of trees where I lost sight of them. Very short Video on my fb page.
The other 4 (3:12pm, 3:23, 5:11 & 5:19pm)individually arrived from the north & continued south through our property toward Point Pelee National Park. They flitted through at 10' up to 25'. None had stopped at the milkweed patches or any other flowers. One did land very briefly on a cedar tree but quickly took flight again flitting south.
I got close enough to one to see it was a bit faded. All others appeared fresh but I couldn't get closer than 100' from them. Always had cell phone beside me or in my hand but they were just too fast to get a photo.
