I was beginning to mow the lawn when I saw the monarch circling my Chastity Bush which is in full bloom. I ran to the house to get my phone to take a picture. It had changed positions and was still there and just as I was positioning my phone to click, it just fluttered away with the wind. I am so sad. It was beautiful! I was wondering how they can fly in the strong breezes that flow through this area. I have only ever seen one at a time. Last year I didn't see one but the previous 4 summers I have had one fly by.
