Plants in front garden include: common milkweed, bee balm, blazing star, coneflower, yarrow, bee balm, prairie smoke, obedient plant, smooth aster, new england aster, large leaved aster, blue aster, anise hyssop, hoary vervain, upland white goldenrod, blue vervain, lance-leaved coreopsis. All plants are native to Ontario. Ground cover is woolly thyme, creeping thyme and elfin thyme. Also beloved of bees but not native to Ontario, lavender, Russian sage and catmint and mock orange.
