My report is the lack of monarchs being observed in the area around West Windsor, VT. Last year, 1st reports were from early June and adults were commonly observed from mid-June throughout the summer. This year combining sightings from 6 different monarch enthusiasts only 6 adults have been observed. I have yet to find any eggs. Looking at the sightings map, central and northern Vermont have no reported sightings. We wonder what is going on. No apparent reductions in the amount of milkweed stands and in fact most likely increased due to plantings. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
