Clear & sunny 30c real feel of 34. 51% humidity. North wind @8kmh.
12:30 pm Observed 2 monarchs nectaring on Common MW at front of house. One left flitting west before I could determine sex. The other was a female with a torn wing.
1:11pm observed a monarch quickly flitting south through our backyard straight b-line for Point Pelee National Park.
1:40pm observed on Common MW off back deck a female monarch intensely nectaring on Common MW blossoms. Different female than earlier-no torn wing.
*I did not observe either female lay eggs. It is very dry...we need rain & it's hot & expected for the next 7-10 days.
