Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/04/2020

Number: 2

For about the past 20 years, I usually get a mating pair each year having milkweed in my wild flower garden. However, last summer I saw 3!!! Mating pairs. And they were out there day after day. I was starting to get worried that I had not seen any yet this year but I spotted 2 today. One out front of my home and another visiting neighbors down the block. If you don't catch sight of any at the Chamber of Commerce I'm only a few blocks from there 411 on Houston. You are always welcome to take a look to see if any are out and about and how they are doing. (Don't worry about the crazy person who lives there ) I attribute the increased number of pair sightings to the wonderful butterfly refuge the C.O.C. has added to the neighborhood and other efforts, keep up the great work to save these amazing creatures! Monarchs made my day! Happy Independence Day to the U.S.A. and the Monarchs on their way!
