Saw my first monarch of 2020 this afternoon around 1:45. It was nectaring briefly on flowering common milkweed in our yard. I was not close enough to determine if it was male or female, but unmistakably a monarch butterfly. Weather is warm, partly cloudy, highs in the low 80s with a NW breeze from a cold front that passed through last night. Does my heart good to see them back again!
