I think this is one of the five larvae that were on my two milkweed plants on the patio. They stripped the plants bare---and left for greener milkweed! I thought they all had died on their search for more food; the closest wild milkweed is 200 ft. from my patio. But, low and behold, this one was perched on a succulent in the morning, drying his/her wings.
