Took two larvae from Common Milkweed to replace two larvae being captive-reared that didn't make it. Only explanation for one larva meeting its demise was: it disappeared and in its place was a rather fat larva of the ladybug. Don't know how I missed the ladybug larva when I wash my milkweed. If only Darwin knew what I did. Oh boy.
