Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/20/2020

Number: 1

One single female laid eggs on my tropical milkweed - passing by the local milkweed which is much more obvious than the tropical, which I have in my backyard. Very tiny caterpillars are becoming visible. When a little larger I will cage them and protect them from predators.
Question - could the single female - or rather her offsprings - have been raised by me, because she came back to this exact spot ?
