our first monarch of 2020 fluttered past our high balcony at 1520 hrs this afternoon. the butterfly was working slowly N to S.

we walk many miles each week in our new urban lifestyle. we watch many patches of wild common and tropical milkweed and a few isolated milkweed in ornamental gardens. until today, no adults, no eggs, no larvae, and no pupae. we are pleased to see even this one monarch!
