Monarch butterfly feeding on swamp milkweed flowers. I did not see it lay any eggs on any of the milkweed in our garden, so assuming it was male. (The sighting was at 7:12 a.m.; much earlier in the day than previous seasons. They did not used to visit the garden until about noon onwards through the afternoon).
