My zinnias began blooming last thursday. today July 24 is the first day the entire bed is blooming. Today I sighted the first monarch! Yeah . Heretofore, I had seen only one very tattered black swallowtail very early in the spring. I do have a lot of cabbage whites in my yard though, and a few skippers. There are no where near the quantity of BF this year as last year. Wonder why?
