Sightings report image

Date: 07/30/2020

Number: 3

I cannot report daily so here is a month's summary.
Since June 20th 2020 except for 1 rainy day, daily 7:30 am-8:30pm I see 2-3 Monarchs on our property. Every time I go outside or look outside there is a monarch.
I almost daily have a patrolling male, sometimes staying 5 or so days. Every 2nd/3rd day I have an ovipositing female. I have seen 3 mated pairs. Eggs/cats seen so far on A.Syriaca & Incarnata.
Since June 20th have also observed monarchs in directional flight south. An increased number around that time & again recently. I have been in nearby Point Pelee National Park & as recent as last weekend observed monarchs in directional flight south to Tip. Unfortunately due to covid19 the Tip area is closed to vehicular traffic. Shuttle is not running therefore accessible by only foot or bicycle therefore less trips in for me.
Many videos on my youtube channel. Here is one of Monarch caterpillars surviving & thriving here left in the wild-
