I have been collecting larva and/or eggs and have so far this July released three Monarchs and have four to go. Two of the Monarchs came from eggs. My front yard is a "milkweed garden," so there's been plenty of Monarch activity there.

Last year I released 17 Monarchs, most of them coming from larvae.

I haven't been searching for eggs and larva as much this year as I did last because of the mosquitoes. They bite!
