Beautiful sunny 24c day with light NE wind. 4 pm A very faded & tattered female visiting our gardens laying eggs everywhere on Common MW. She stayed a few hours.
Also observed a mated pair (not the faded female cause I saw her alone after I saw the mated pair.) Male had female in tow flying west about 15' off the ground toward trees where I lost sight. This is the 4th mated pair I've seen this season.
As previously reported I see on our property 2-3 monarchs daily since June 20th except for 1 rainy day. One day I saw 8 way out in our back most southern acre of 5 acres. I have 6 beautiful 4' tall Swamp Milkweed plants in that acre.
