While conducting an MLMP survey, I found this 5th instar larva. A very lucky larva to have made it to this stage, given all the spiders that reside in this stand of A. speciosa milkweed. 82 F, mild breeze, partly sunny, extremely dry/drought conditions. Castlewood Canyon State Park. Way Station 9419
