I found 3 acres of Milkweed here! Since the farm fields were mowed 3-4 weeks ago for hay, the fields have filled up with wall-to-wall milkweed. Just now about half of them have flowered so the Monarchs are many more then I had seen before. Nonetheless, I am saad that there are not more caterpillars to find and raise. I have seen two so far, and I have found about 10 eggs in 4 hours. Rather faster is following a female and snipping the leaf and egg after she lays it and flys off.
