While eating lunch in the Park near Red House Lake, I saw an adult Monarch flying along the road side.
Then, I saw another adult Monarch when I was canoeing an inlet to Quaker Lake, about 5 to 7 mile drive from Red House Lake. The Monarch was sipping nectar from Joe Pie Weed growing along the shore.
I was not able to ID gender.
I also checked for larvae on Milkweed growing in the Park's Pollinator Meadow. Unfortuantely, I did not find any.
