Today I have seen at least 2 monarchs in the yard (2 at the same time). It is quite possible there were more, but I'm only counting 2 because some may have been repeat visits. The photo I am sharing is of just 1 from today. Today they have visited the hairy balls and the tropical milkweed. Bonus that I found a 3rd instar cat on my butterfly weed today. I also have a few 2nd instar cats on the hairy balls. Today was windy. It was amazing today seeing the strength of one of the monarchs flying against the wind. No wonder they can get to Mexico.
