There is lots of milkweed all over this area. Absolutely beautiful place!

I'm from Northern California. We have beautiful parks in Ca, its just so dry in the summer.....here (Iowa) it is green and gorgeous.

I have seen 10 total in last 2 weeks....about 3 to 4 a day. There is an abundant amount of milkweed growing around the lake. The butterflies are active fluttering around.

I found one that may have just emerged....it was calm and sat on my hand before taking off on its journey.
