Newly hatched this morning. When my dog and I met her, 14 days ago, she was a lovely, caterpillar.

According to Google, caterpillars may travel 10 meters (about 32 feet) when ready to pupate. Our caterpillar was either wise or lazy :) Because she chose not to travel and stayed on the Swamp Milkweed.

Either way, she's beautiful. Emerged about 10:30 AM and flew away around noon.
