First Monarch to show up in our zinnia garden at 12:24 pm on 8/16/2020.
The Monarch chose to land on the shadier part of our zinnia garden and on one of the flowers in the shade. Some of the flowers on this part of the area that we plant zinnias stay in the shade all afternoon.
The Yellow Eastern Tiger Swallowtails and the Painted Lady butterflies and also the Silver Spotted Skipper butterflies that have shown up previously this year have only landed on the flowers on the side that is always in the sun in the afternoon.
