We saw 11 Monarch butterflies in about 1 1/2 hours biking up and back on this section of the Sakatah Trail, which is mostly open and shrubbed and filled with wildflowers and weeds. Many,if not most of the Monarchs, were feeding or flying near blooming thistle.
