Saw 1 female laying eggs. I have about 50 milkweed plants in my backyard. Found at least 10 eggs but sure there are more. Also found about 10 larve in various sizes a day or two old. I raise monarchs indoors as a hobby and have 18 caterpillars as of present. First eggs laid this summer were on June 14 and 15 (from 2 butterflies) and we successfully launched 14 butterflies, 7 males, 7 females. Next batch (from 4 butterflies) were laid July 14-15 and 10 were launched, 5 of each. Next batch eggs laid Aug 5-6, and Aug 9th (from 2) I have 18 caterpillars. No chrysalis as of yet.
