one crossed a street near my house - later saw one trying to lay egg(s) on a milkweed in my yard. Found one egg next day - but not there anymore. No instar spotted either :-(

These were the first two monarchs I saw this year - and I have lot of milkweed - but no butterflies yet other than those two.
