While running the monarch levee trail from point A to point B I counted 16 monarch butterflies as I passed them. They were mostly foraging on red clover. Only Queen Anne's lace and clover are growing out there now off of the levee, but there is a small butterfly milkweed and purple coneflower installation at one point along the trail.
