Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/18/2020

Number: 36

Monarchs kept coming off the red clover field for about an hour. Some of them quickly found a perch for the night but many of them circled around, checking several trees for other monarchs before settling in. Temps were in the mid 60s so there was no urge to cluster. Still, the evening was calm and clear and the sunset was beautiful and it was a special time.
Temps are expected to be higher today and through the next few nights, so I do not anticipate true clustering roosts until next week. Will still look, of course : )
