I have had a male and female all summer. Now we have a third but I have, as of yet, to determine if the visitor is a male or female. Based on the level of activity around the feeder and the response of the male and female, I think it is another male. Our male has been quite aggressive with this other hummingbird and he never had with the female, only occasionally chasing her off from the feeder.
