Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/19/2020

Number: 4

Nectaring from Cleome and Cardinal flowers and also the feeder. Sometimes a few sips from the feeder, then a few cleome flowers, then back to the feeder. One did a U turn when it flew over the cardinal flowers and went to sip from newly opened flowers on the stalk. Most are territorial over the feeder but not so intense as last year when fights happened. This year it's zooming and chasing. Different feeder, more ports but not using at the same time. One bird yesterday nectared from each port at the feeder as I stood there, motionless and trapped in my weeding from scaring her off. A cheep to me in between ports. No cheeping in between flowers.
