Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/19/2020

Number: 6

Since early June I have had
at least 2 males and between
3 and 4 females sharing my feeder. They are there daily
challenging one another and defending "their" territories.
Even from the Sapsucker that
sometimes monopolizes the feeder. The hummers are relentless in chasing the woodpecker away. Great fun to watch! Usually the Hummers will
begin to vanish in early September and most will have headed south by about a month from now.
