Had 5 ruby throated hummers nectaring on feeders and flowers. 3 adult males and at least 2 females. Males seem to nectar mostly at feeders and females on annual salvias and cigar (firecracker) flowers. Males mostly keep females away from the feeders. 1 male perches almost continuously in the same place for about the last 1-1/2 hours in the evening unless feeding or chasing intruders.Last hummer left the yard at 8:22 this evening.
