I have 30 feeders out and they are changed twice a day.
I have 250+ hummers now and that will increase daily until late September.

My reported number of 20 is based on visual count as far as adult males.
The estimated 200+ comes from the method developed by Bob and Martha Sargent whereby you count the number of hummingbirds you see at one time at your feeders and multiply this number by six to determine how many birds are visiting your feeder over the course of a day.

The large numbers are [consistent with] the numbers captured and banded by Cyndi Lawrence Routledge of Southeastern Avian Research.

I moved here in 2012 and started feeding the hummingbirds as soon as I could. I started with about ten feeders and just kept adding them. Now I use 30 quart-size feeders, and I swap them out in the AM and again in the PM.
