The Monarchs are nearly all feeding on Meadow blazing star. Indiangrass is still blooming so the prairie has a way to go. Stiff and Canada goldenrod are blooming along with Sawtooth sunflower and rough blazing star. The Monarchs have been a bit secretive this summer and it was reassuring to see them in numbers on the grassland tonight.
