Sighted 3 in the pollinator/butterfly garden, mostly on the wing, and the monarch in the photo was sighted at home (10 miles south from others) in the a.m., sipping water from the grass. As it flew off, a Mississippi kite swooped from around the house, grabbing the monarch in its talons. Evidently it had not yet learned they taste bad and are poisonous!
