It was lightly raining this morning until the sun came out at noon. With a chance of rain in the air, I decided to count hourly in my backyard flower garden. At 1 PM, a monarch came from the north and landed on my Joe-pye-weed. At 2 PM, it was joined by another. At 3 PM, one of the monarchs was gone. At 4 PM, there was still one monarch. At 5 PM, there were two monarchs with none at 6 PM or 7 PM. Weather was rain in the AM, and partly sunny and hazy in the PM. Wind was SW at 9 mph turning to the SE at 9 mph, and finally turning S-12 mph with the Temperature topping out at 83F.
