Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/22/2020

Number: 7

I have seen at least seven Monarchs today and the last two days. Most looked very worn and were missing parts of their wings. (I've noticed several other varieties of butterflies are also missing parts of their wings. We have had some severe storms in this part of the country lately, so maybe that is why.) I have not found any eggs on my milkweed yet, but I do believe a male Monarch started courting a female awhile ago.
