Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 08/25/2020

Number: 3

The Monarch that is open and above in the picture is a male Monarch. You can see the two small dots...one on each vein close to the middle of the butterfly. The female does not have these dots. We had never seen two together like this before. He carried her from flower to flower or would move too another flowers and then return to the same previous flower. He flew over the juniper bushes carrying her over our grass and then he returned to the zinnia patch alone. They were in the yard on the zinnias for several minutes.
