Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/26/2020

Number: 4

It rained until 4 PM, so I went out to the swing at 4:15 PM as the sun tried to shine. At 4:37 PM, a monarch came in from the north and landed on my Joe-pye-weed just as another monarch came out of the northeast heading southwest in directional flight. At 5 PM, another monarch came out of the northwest and joined the other monarch in the garden. They both left a 5:20 PM heading west. At 6:50 PM, I observed a monarch coming in from the northwest to fly into my neighbor's spruce tree as the clouds thicken. Weather was mostly cloudy to cloudy with a fog bank heading in from Lake Huron at 7 PM. Wind was SSW-5-10 mph most of the day with thundershowers. The Temperature topped out at 72F.
