This female is the last to emerge from wild captured caterpillars. As I mow a field managed for bees, I watch the milkweed for caterpillars and then rescue them. It's been fun watching them feed, enter the chrysalis stage, emerge and then fly off at release. My daughter and granddaughter (age 5) now want to participate in this active.
